The Mason Tract is

and includes 11.5 miles of slightly hilly terrain. Hike or cross country ski. Closed to bicycling due to erosion and safety concerns.
Off-Road Vehicle Trails/Routes
Frederic Loop Trail is
8 miles West
and offers 29 miles of cycle/ATV trail and 9 miles of full-sized vehicle route.
Paddling
Campground accessible by water from the Au Sable River. Closest canoe rental in Grayling (5 miles East).
Watchable Wildlife
Au Sable River offers a good chance of seeing bald eagles all seasons, deer and wild turkey are plentiful.
