Graves Crossing State Forest Campground
Fishing
Jordan River (next to campground): Brown/Rainbow Trout, Steelhead, and Salmon.
Intermediate Lake (8 miles West): Walleye, Smallmouth/Rock Bass, Pike, and Perch.
Lake Charlewoix (10 miles North): Walleye, Perch, Pike, Brown/Rainbow Trout, Salmon, Crappie, and Smallmouth Bass.
Hiking
Jordan Valley (6 miles East): 18 miles of hilly terrain. Part of the North Country Trail. Hike and camp.
Warner Creek (9 miles NE): 3.8 miles of flat to rolling terrain. Hike and bike.
The North Country Trail is (2 miles southeast) of this campground: This National Scenic Trail hiking route from North Dakota to New York includes over 1500 miles in Michigan. See www.northcountrytrail.org.
Off-Road Vehicle Trails/Routes
Kalkaska (17 miles SE): 90 miles of cycle/ATV trail and 39 miles of full-size vehicle ORV.
Paddling
Canoeing opportunities on the Jordan River. Closest canoe rental in Mancelona or East Jordan.
Watchable Wildlife
Wetland wildlife throughout the Jordan River Valley such as beaver, raccoon, frogs, turtles, herons, and waterfowl.
