Pickerel Lake (Otsego) State Forest Campground
Fishing
Pickerel Lake (on site): Bass, Bluegill, Rainbow Trout.
Pigeon River (5 miles East): Brown/Brook/Rainbow Trout.
Hiking
State Forest Pathways:
Pickerel Lake (on site): 1.9 miles of wooded terrain with access from campground.
High Country (5 miles East): Over 80 miles of flat to very hilly terrain connecting 8 State Forest campgrounds winding through scenic Pigeon River Country.

Watchable Wildlife
This campground is set within Pigeon River Country, home to the largest free-roaming elk herd east of the Mississippi River. Several viewing sites have been established where elk are known to gather and can be often be viewed from the car along road routes. Some of the best viewing opportunities are in September and from late April to early May.
Boat Launch
Gravel ramp to Pickerel Lake at campground for electric motors or non-motorized craft only.
