Harrisville State Park is within a short drive of several popular area attractions. Among them are the Sturgeon Point Lighthouse and Museum, the resort town of Harrisville and Negwegon State Park. For art and music lovers, there is a summer concert series on Wednesday nights at the harbor and a Labor Day Weekend Art and Music Show in the town of Harrisville.
The park does not offer any facilities for boating or fishing, but a DNR boating access site in Harrisville allows direct access to Lake Huron's tremendous offshore fishing opportunities.

Harrisville State Park features a campground and day-use area nestled in a stand of pine and cedar trees along the sandy shores of Lake Huron. The park is within walking distance of the resort town of Harrisville. Established in 1921, it is one of Michigan's oldest state parks. The original park area consisted of six acres, much smaller than the current 107-acre size.
