Oral Presentations All contributed papers were scheduled for 20-minute oral presentations, which included 5 minutes for questions. Oral presentations were limited to Microsoft PowerPoint; no other formats (such as slides, overheads, or video) were accepted. Presenters were encouraged to read the Guidelines for Oral Presentations before preparing and submitting your presentation (guidelines taken from The Wildlife Society and used with permission). Once presentations were submitted, no further editing of content was permitted. Conference Proceedings Conference and symposium proceedings provide avenues for communicating scientific and management information to natural resource professionals. One important advantage of conference proceedings is that they contain, in one volume, a large amount of information on a single concept or topic. Abstracts and manuscripts were accepted based on the merits and scientific value of each paper. Manuscripts were peer-reviewed. Material from accepted presentations at the Symposium were published as the Proceedings of the Ninth National Wild Turkey Symposium and provided to attendees after the Symposium.
