Rocket-Net Safety Training Workshop

This workshop provided practical and technical information for conducting effective, efficient, and safe rocket-net operations. Training reviewed Federal and State safety procedures required for rocket-net use. Topics included safe handling, storage, and use of rocket-net charges. Participants received hands-on instruction in safe rocket-net setup, wiring and testing. There were demonstrations using various types of rocket-net trapping equipment. Drop nets and other wild turkey capture methods were discussed.

The course emphasizes professional and humane animal handling. This workshop is for the old pro and neophyte wild turkey trapper and should be required attendance for anyone that uses rocket-nets. This is a hands-on workshop with a nationally recognized explosives expert. Instruction takes place in the classroom and in the field. Training manual provided.
